Rideau Hall Foundation Funding expands Indigenous-Led Teacher Education
“I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rideau Hall Foundation for your generous grant and unwavering support of Innu Education.
Their commitment to advancing educational opportunities for Indigenous communities through the Indigenous Teacher Education Program, is deeply appreciated. The partnership not only contributes to the development of skilled and culturally grounded Innu educators but also helps empower future generations of Innu students through education that reflects and respects their heritage. We believe that the Innu of Nitassinan and the Inuit people of Nunatsiavut need to continue to embrace, nurture and support our unique cultures. In working with the Rideau Hall Foundation, we are humbled at the prospect of developing our own to teach our own.
We are proud to stand alongside the Rideau Hall Foundation in this important work, and we look forward to many more years of meaningful collaboration and shared impact.”
